Surgery in the ovarian cyst is popular among practitioners of conventional medicine when they deal with serious and complex cases of cysts in the ovary. But this is the worst possible thing that could happen to a woman suffering from this condition. This procedure is carried out only in extreme cases and especially when the cyst starts assuming life-threatening proportions. But more than the risks involved, it is actually what effect the surgery will have and the trauma which is often what happens afterwards that becomes important. What you can do however is, well in time, to try to know what the particular conditions in your case are and then take adequate precautions so that you are not beset with complications that will make it impossible for you to avoid a surgery later in life.

Surgery types

Fortunately, the surgery becomes necessary only in a few cases of ovarian cysts. However it might become necessary when the ovarian cyst takes a turn for the worse and becomes serious. Other reasons because of which surgery becomes necessary are the chances of a rupture, some abnormality in the cyst, cancer and other complications. However there can be quite a few types of ovarian cyst surgeries – here are a few of them:

(1) Cystectomy: It aims to remove the ovarian cyst. Actually in this process, just the ovarian cyst is removed while the surgery is carried out, and not the ovary itself. Because of this, women tend to prefer this.

(2) Ovary removal: Sometimes there are more serious conditions of ovarian cysts that may also be of a recurring nature – they can be cured only by the removal of either any one or in some cases even both the ovaries. Naturally, removing the ovaries becomes an extremely emotional issue for women – when the ovaries are removed, it can cause immense trauma amongst women of child bearing age. Fortunately, even when both the ovaries are removed, the woman can still remain fertile. But, this process is best avoided as it can be hugely stressful, traumatic and complicated.

There are two kinds of ovarian cyst surgeries – based on the techniques and the nature

(1) Open surgery: This surgery is carried out by making an open abdomen cut. However the open surgery causes stress and trauma and there may even be some complications when the process is carried out. The recovery process is also often long. But if you need to opt for the open surgery do ensure that you have it done by a skilled surgeon.

(2) Laparoscopic surgery: This surgery is the latest development, and it is less painful and the use of the latest technologies ensures that there is less stress too. When compared to the open surgery, Laparoscopy is safe, painless and it is quick, and the time needed for recovery is also less. But not only that, even the risks involved are fewer – it is therefore much more popular amongst surgeons and patients alike.

Surgery to the ovarian cyst often causes a trauma in women. However, this may be avoided, if a few precautions are taken. The right treatment process should be avoided from the beginning itself – this when done will ensure that there are no final complications of ovarian cyst after the surgery. But in some cases (particularly when they are cancerous) removing the ovarian cyst through surgery remains the only option – because the woman’s life can be in danger. In such cases, there is no option but to adopt this procedure. But those are rarities because with care and prevention, surgery can be avoided. Follow the holistic approach because it can make a positive difference by letting you get rid of the ovarian cyst and prevent surgery too.

Care and prevention

There are some conventional treatments and prescription pills that can keep the cyst under control. But the problems is, these conventional treatments often come with side effects, and due to this the cyst keeps thriving and may lead to complications, which ultimately mean that surgery may become necessary. Because of this the problem needs to be cured and not just managed. And this can be achieved provided the real causes are eliminated. The fact is, this is only possible through the holistic approach.

To achieve a cure for the cyst, natural remedies are followed by the holistic approach. But there is more to the approach – it promotes healthy living through diet supplements, emotional healing and lifestyle changes. The holistic approach works very well because the practitioner can customize a plan based on the merits of the individual case. And thus before a surgery is opted for, the holistic approach needs to be tried for ovarian cysts. It has been seen that cysts that could be cured only through surgery can also be treated by the holistic approach, and this is due to its multidimensional approach. Do not jump for surgery immediately – get in touch with a holistic practitioner to find out your options.

Ovarian Cysts Symptoms That Cannot Be Neglected

To begin with, ovarian cysts do not provide any direct symptom through which one may diagnose the disease condition. Say, for example, a stomach infection will manifest itself with abdominal pain and loose motion or a gastrointestinal acid reflux will produce severe heartburn. But a woman having ovarian cysts will develop no such express symptoms to indicate that her ovaries are affected by cysts. Routine abdominal exam or an ultrasound exam, performed for some other ailment may help detect cysts in the ovary. However, there are plenty of latent symptoms that often point towards affirmative ovarian cysts.

Some prominent symptoms of ovarian cyst

Some of the outstanding symptoms are pain in the abdomen or in the lower pelvic region – this pain is abrupt, beginning and ending all of a sudden, and this can also be severe, sudden and sharp, irregular and untimely menstrual periods; a feeling of fullness in the lower pelvic region and abdominal area. Ovarian cysts symptoms also comprise of pain for a long time around her pelvic girdle during menstrual period (usually felt at the lower back); pelvis pain after having sex or straining such as in exercise; pain or pressure while passing bowel; a feeling of nausea or vomiting tendency; vaginal uneasiness or blood spots in the vagina; painful sexual union, tenderness in the breast, problems in passing urine; frequent urination due to cystic pressure on the bladder and weight gain.

It may however, be kept in mind those symptoms of ovarian cysts that have been mentioned here are actually generic. They can be also present due to some other disease such as pelvic inflammatory ailments, endometriosis and ectopic pregnancy.

Symptoms relating to more complex cases

In some cases the ovarian cyst can take a turn for the worse and in such cases the symptoms can also be different such as light-headedness or dizziness, abdominal pain that cannot be accounted for, fever, shortness in breathing or rapid breathing, general debility or exhaustion. If any or a few of such problems are present in the person for long, it may be time to see a specialist or getting the matter diagnosed through ultrasound or laparoscopy.

Complications

If the size of the cyst is quite large, then it may cause discomfort in the abdomen. For example, it will end up pressing the bladder and as a result, the person will need to urinate often as the ability of the bladder to hold urine becomes restricted. In some cases however the symptoms may not be there – particularly when the cyst is of an uncommon kind. But even if that is the case, the doctor should be able to find it out with a simple inspection of the pelvic region. Some people get cysts after menopause – this might mean cancerous – so take note. Thus, it is a good idea to get a pelvic inspection regularly. And do watch out for these symptoms.

Here’s some caution

Understanding the symptoms is fine – but do not depend solely on them. Because as mentioned above, in some cases, there may not be any symptoms at all. Often the symptoms get misdiagnosed too as something else, such as ovarian cancer, inflammatory pelvic disease, ectopic pregnancy or even endometriosis. Appendicitis and diverticulitis can also show similar symptoms. But this does not mean that you should not be in the lookout for the symptoms of ovarian cyst as this is fairly common among females. Understanding the symptoms is the first step in diagnosing the condition and also understanding how serious it is. If there is associated fever, a sudden abnormal pain in the pelvic region or vomiting, then it can be a serious case.

Holistic approach and ovarian cysts symptoms

Holistic remedies have become quite popular in recent years, and this is the case for many diseases. Ovarian cysts can also be treated using holistic remedies. But such remedies are nothing new as holism has been a concept that has been around for centuries. Its only recently however that holistic remedies have found a place in mainstream medical science. This approach is indeed very effective in ovarian cysts – but it also allows a person to become healthy mentally, physically and helps her attain peace too. The holistic system is not merely a way of treatment – it is an approach of treatment and its application. So with an early diagnosis, ovarian cysts can be wonderfully cured with this approach.

‘Healthy Mind in a Healthy body’ – this is the approach of holistic remedies. This approach prevents occurring of ovarian cysts in keeping the person healthy in both body and mind. Contemporary medical science has admitted the significance of strong mental force in curing difficult disease conditions, appreciating the influence of yoga and holistic approach in treating such cases. In fact, holistic approach can help prevent the occurrence of the ovarian cyst, and in case they appear, then they can be cured. Often the holistic approach’s first step is to regulate the diet. A balanced and wholesome diet is very important here to maintain good health because it enhances the power of resistance in the person. A balance diet according to holistic remedies includes proteins, fruits, leafy vegetables and minerals. All those foods that is rich in fat need to be avoided. It is also best to avoid excess carbohydrates. Ovarian cysts cannot cause problems if the body and the surroundings are cleaned and maintained.

Ovarian Cysts Side Effects Revealed

The side effects of ovarian cysts include excessive bleeding at the time of menstruation, blood from vagina, pain in the breasts and pelvis and more. Let`s take a closer look at these various side effects:

Heavy bleeding at the time of menstruation

The possibility of more blood flow at the time of menstruation increases after an ovarian cyst surgery. The first period after the surgery may take place after two to three months of the surgery. In other cases, it can take a longer time. There is an increase in menstrual blood flow after a surgery from the pre-surgery state. There have been reports of some women getting post surgery periods after ten days of the first one.

Vaginal Bleeding

Sudden bleeding in women always causes concern and it should always be considered dangerous. Apart from usual menstruation or an occasional heavy period, any other abnormality can spell danger. It is important to understand the precise reason behind any abnormal bleeding. The origin of the blood should also be carefully studied. Blood may originate from the uterus or an organ tissue. It is only after a clear understanding of the origin of bleeding that measures to control and stop it should be decided upon. Vaginal bleeding can be of a fatal nature and needs urgent attention.

Usually, a classic menstrual cycle spans 28 days. One can keep a margin of seven days. The period itself can last between two to seven days. The volume of blood and fluid discharged in a typical period is approximately 5 table spoons. This equates to around 8 or fewer soaked pads per day.

The number of days when heavy discharge is registered should not be more than 2. If bleeding is still noticed from the vagina after a menstrual cycle is over, it may be called an abnormal or dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding. It is when there has to be consideration on whether the ovarian cyst exists or not.

Sometimes, complications in the process of the hormone that begins the process of menstruation and it increases by so much that it results in a complete imbalance in progesterone and oestrogen levels. This causes the body to over produce the uterine flow of blood, which in turn leads to an increase in bleeding from the vagina. Such complications arise due to the presence of ovarian cysts.

Vaginal bleeding has a dual nature: it is one of the side effects of ovarian cysts and also a symptom. Once vaginal bleeding is noticed, it is important to keep track of it as it will help immensely in understanding how serious the ovarian cyst is. If blood is noticed to flow from the vagina at times when the woman is not in the menstrual cycle, urgent medical attention should be sought. It may well indicate the presence of cysts in the ovary.

Early attention will help in diagnosis and treatment, and proper medication can be suggested before the situation gets worse. One should always remember that depending on the holistic system is the finest decision.

Breast pain

Any pain in the breasts should be taken seriously. Tenderness in the breasts should not be ignored, too. These conditions, if ignored, can lead to very serious consequences, such as ovarian cysts. Breast pain that arises from ovarian cysts begins by making them get increasingly tender as each day passes. A prompt diagnosis is strongly recommended under such circumstances. Otherwise, it will lead to further deterioration and complications.

The initial tenderness leads to pain in the breasts. There can also be a severe imbalance in hormone levels in the body. The estrogen secretion correlates breast pain and ovarian cysts. It is important to take corrective measures against ovarian cysts, as they will automatically take care of the breast pain. If left untreated, it may even lead to breast cancer!

Pelvic pain

Ovarian cysts affects copulatory organ in women. Actually, they happen both due to fertilization and its absence. It is therefore natural that ovarian cysts are accompanied by pelvic pain. Pelvis remains the worst affected part of the body. In dealing with ovarian cysts, the pelvis bears the entire pressure and thus, is very severely impacted. It is therefore needless to stress the importance of taking utmost care to cure pelvic pain resulting from ovarian cysts.

The holistic approach

All the side effects of ovarian cysts that have been discussed so far are related and interlinked. The most effective way of combating ovarian cysts is by adopting the holistic system which totally concentrates on overall health development and well-being through the use of spiritualism as well as philosophy. As history has shown us again and again, it is always better to start at the very basic. And this is what holistic system is all about. If one diligently follows the holistic approach in curing cysts, the side-effects can be easily averted.

The holistic approach actually is an approach that borders on divinity. It not only cures ovarian cysts in an individual, but also helps develop a positive attitude for life. With the holistic approach, one will never have to look back again. It will seem like a miracle to realize that none of the side effects of ovarian cyst has really touched you and you are already on you way to complete recovery.

The Right Way to Ovarian Cyst Management

Management of ovarian cysts should be done carefully so as to avoid any subsequent effects. Ovarian cysts as a subject have been on the minds of women for quite some time. Often they are not problematical, it just means everybody needs to know what a cyst is to be able to then avoid much of the worrying.

Ovarian Cyst and Ways of Management

In general it is wise to make a few comments about overall methods for ovarian cyst management. The first one is that for women who are not taking oral contraceptives, who have a cystic structure which is no bigger than the size of an apricot, who are still at a reproductive age, and who suffer no pain, then conventional medical tracking and treatment will be enough. Note that the pain might be a factor triggering necessary surgical intervention.

Septation may be seen in pathologic cysts, meaning the development of partitions of tissues. Different compartments of fluid can then be ascertained. Growths in the tissue may well also be developed in pathologic cysts, which then roughen the walls. Another name for these growths is excrescences. Doctors often use the technique of ultrasound in order to understand the situation of the cysts and to measure its dimensions precisely. However in physiologic cysts, neither septations nor excrescences are present. It is in the case of pathologic cysts that surgical operations may be required.

Second Alternative

For a non-malignant cyst, conventional surgery may be a choice. This may also allow a patient to keep the ovary concerned. In this case the operation is termed an ovarian cystectomy. Any techniques of surgery should in general keep any injury to tissues at a minimum. Also important are the precise control of any bleeding and the possibility of employing adhesion barriers. Regrettably, the development of pain or painful “adhesions” may be the result of surgical operations on the ovaries. Other side effects may be infertility, or excessive sensitivity when having intercourse.

Laparoscopic methods may be used for such an ovarian cystectomy. This means using small cuts rather than conventional surgical techniques. It is an approach that avoids leaving marks on the body, reduces pain and allows for more rapid recuperation. If one of the ovaries has been seriously impacted in the cystic process but the other has stayed intact, then advice may be given to simply take out the affected ovary.

Third Alternative

There is a possibility of using endometriosis to see if a cyst has been the result of a collection of old blood. This is typically for a woman who has already given birth to her children and represents a case called chocolate cysts or endometria. Surgical intervention is usually necessary rather than optional in order to resolve the problem forever, when endometriosis is present elsewhere in the pelvis as well. According to the kind of disease, the patient’s age and possible other pelvic complaints, removal of the ovary and hysterectomy may be the right move. Surgery is also required for ovarian cancer. The justification for this is that patients have a low rate of survival otherwise.

Needle Aspiration and Possible Factors

About six percent of women contract ovarian cysts after the menopause. Information exists to indicate that in the majority, the cysts are benign or functional. Factors such as menopausal status, age, and the size and type of a cyst will then indicate the appropriate management of such ovarian cysts. Needle aspiration of ovarian cysts is then the best option compared to either laparoscopic or classical surgical operation when the cysts are considered to be functional. The physician should therefore take action in order to prevent the case of cancer that statistically affects 61 out of 100000 women whose ages are around 68.

Nonetheless, in people’s minds several interrogations have arisen concerning the success rate and use of needle aspiration. Note that needle aspiration can be done with local anaesthetic only, which gives it an advantage compared to other types of surgical intervention. A patient does not need to go to hospital for this solution.

Diagnosis

The priority first of all is to understand if a cyst is benign or not. Identification of this state is done by identifying the presence or not of vegetations. Concentrations of CA 125 were proven to be normal in approximately 70 percent of women who it seems had ovarian cysts, which indicates that their cysts were benign. The research on this was done some years back. For tumours that were malignant, there were stronger concentrations of serum that were identified. Ways to find this out today include ultrasonography, clinical examination and identification of CA 125 serum concentrations. Clinical examination is the least effective way, as some 30 to 65 percent of ovarian tumours are typically not found. Vaginal sonography is more satisfactory. In this case in as much as 96 percent of all cases, the prediction of benign tumours is accurate.

Ovarian Cytology

Reliability still has to be proven for ovarian cytology. Nonetheless, it has been proven that in responding to the situations of de Brux, such as instant fixation so as to avoid double configuration and uninterruptible cells, that this technique can in fact be effective.

Final Alternative

There is always the risk of side effects and problems linked to either medication or surgery. A holistic treatment using only natural components is the best one that you can follow in order to completely remove problems of ovarian cysts. Having read this information on ovarian cyst management, it is still necessary to understand that it is the underlying problem that must be solved for any lasting remedy. Until this is accomplished, the problem will persist.

Diagnosing Ovarian Cysts: Why Initial Diagnosis is Crucial to Your Health

The first and foremost part in the treatment of ovarian cysts is the correct diagnosis of ovarian cysts. No cure is possible until and unless there the right diagnosis. It is true that if you overlook the warning signals or symptoms then the diagnosis of the ovarian cysts can be really difficult. And in some cases there tends to very few or even none of the usual symptoms apparently available. However, very subtle symptoms can be found. And you yourself can definitely diagnose your own condition through different ways that are available. But you first need to understand the different techniques in order to accurately understand your condition.

The need for diagnosis

The correct diagnosis is the first step taken towards the treatment of ovarian cysts. Diagnosis helps in selecting the right course of treatment as well. Sometimes in the absence of the right diagnosis even some cases of manageable cases of ovarian cysts have turned complicated and dangerous. In absence of diagnosis sometimes women tend to turn to home made remedies which do nothing but delay the actual treatment and further complicate the case. More so since no uniform treatment has yet been found for all the various form of ovarian cysts, a wrong treatment can really be very dangerous. The right diagnosis is really the most important thing in case of a ovarian cyst.

Self-diagnosis

Diagnosing ovarian cysts medically can be lot easier if a woman understands the symptoms herself first. In such cases it is possible to start treatment right at the initial stages. There are lot of common symptoms that can help a woman to understand if she might be suffering from this particular condition before she decides to go to a medical practitioner.

(1) Irregular menstruation: In most cases of ovarian cysts women suffer from irregular menstruation conditions. They tend to miss months at a stretch or they might have months of very less flow or too heavy in fact.

(2) Pain in the pelvic area: In many cases women tend to feel a continuous severe kind of pain in their pelvic area without any apparent reason. This can be a sign of the presence of the ovarian cyst condition.

(3) Infertility: temporary infertility and repeated miscarriages can be a sign of ovarian cysts.

(4) Change in the structure of the body: Ovarian cysts sometimes affect the hormonal balance of the body. In such cases the woman might start looking less feminine or start gaining a lot of weight suddenly.

(5) Sudden appearance of facial hair, hoarseness of voice is also a symptom of ovarian cysts.

(6) Pressure on bladder: Ovarian cysts can cause a pressure on the bladder which might lead to frequent urination or the urge to urinate frequently or other related problems.

(7) Miscellaneous symptoms: Some other symptoms include breast tenderness, nausea, and vomiting, severe pain during sexual intercourse, dizziness, weakness, pain and cramps, acne problems and many more related problems.

Sometimes it becomes very difficult to self diagnosis the condition. As has been mentioned earlier sometimes there is simply no apparent symptoms available to suggest the presence of the condition. In such cases the condition becomes apparent only during regular ultra sound examinations or pelvic examination of the patient. The diagnosis should definitely be confirmed scientifically. Symptoms might also vary from one case to another, but anything abnormal related to gynecological health should always be checked out with a medical practitioner.

Steps after diagnosis

Once diagnosis of the ovarian cyst is confirmed treatment should start immediately. Many forms of ovarian cysts resolve themselves on their own but some are serious and require intensive treatment. Most women opt for conventional medication but unfortunately conventional medication does not hold an ultimate solution for this condition. It is because though conventional medication does relieve the symptoms but it cannot completely eliminate cause of the cysts. Hence, the cysts kept recurring unless their root is cleared completely. Thus after diagnosis it becomes important that you look for alternative forms of therapy in order to get completely cured.

The complete cure of ovarian cysts is possible through the holistic approach. After the diagnosis you should consult a holist practitioner who will go beyond the mere diagnosis and find out the real cause behind the condition. The holistic practitioner will look for individual characteristics of the cysts, the actual cause, and the best treatment possible. With the help of the multidimensional approach of holistic treatment it is possible to completely wipe out the ovarian cysts and its actual cause, thus preventing it from recurring ever again.

Ovarian Cysts Prevention: How To Protect Yourself

Ovarian cysts prevention may be a somewhat difficult proposition. Some are of the opinion that the probability of ovarian cysts developing can be drastically reduced if one can stop ovulation. This is the reason why birth control pills are widely prescribed by doctors the world over for ovarian cysts prevention.

According to statistics revealed by various surveys and studies, women who regularly take birth control pills have been shown to have a lesser propensity to develop ovarian cysts. However, opinions vary in this regard and there are many experts who strongly discredit the idea of taking pills for ovarian cysts prevention. This is because stopping ovulation could lead to other forms of complications like PCOS and multiple cysts. This only makes the matter worse.

Discussing the pros and cons of these methods, and trying to understand the truth in such views is beyond the scope of this article. Nonetheless, as common says would have it, it is important that every problem be dealt with keeping in mind the factors that cause it. Therefore it is important to keep the factors that cause ovarian cysts in our clear perspective in order to understand how to deal with them. This is where the holistic approach comes into the picture.

It has been shown that two of the main causes of ovarian cysts are genetic factors and dietary habits. Besides these, a weakened immune system, presence of toxins that might have collected in the digestive tract or even obesity or resistance to insulin can cause ovarian cysts to appear.

Other than the genetic reasons, lifestyle related factors largely determine whether someone will get ovarian cysts or not. It is worth noting that implementing a few simple lifestyle changes can go a long way in substantially reducing the risk of getting the condition. In fact, even some of the genetic causes can be effectively marginalized and a great leap be taken towards ovarian cysts prevention by adopting these lifestyle changes as it genetic factors do not express themselves unless there is the right type of environment or stimulus to trigger them.

The need of the hour is to adopt what is called the holistic approach and get ready for complete and effective ovarian cysts prevention. Remember, holistic approach is also strongly recommended for the treatment of ovarian cysts, and not just for its prevention.

Here are a few ways in which ovarian cysts prevention can be practiced:

1. Add plenty of raw vegetables into your diet; however, vegetables with a high amount of starch content in them should be avoided as far as possible.

2. Try to cut down on your intake of dairy products and products that contain soy. In fact, some extreme views suggest their complete exclusion from the diet. Consult with your doctor before starting on a new diet plan or making any significant changes to your existing one.

3. Besides these there should be a constant effort to eat foodstuffs that are pure, unprocessed and have the highest quality. Such a practice will greatly help in reducing the chances of developing a malignant ovarian cyst. Organically cultivated vegetables, fruits and meat are highly recommended.

Some of the good options include seafood and fish originating from fresh water, and meat that is organically produced and comes from animals that are fed with lean grass. Freshly prepared fruit juice is another great choice. Packaged and canned foodstuffs containing artificial preservatives are best avoided.

4. Drawing on the belief of “A Healthy Mind In A Healthy Body”, the holistic approach strongly recommends regular exercise to stay fit and healthy, and in the process, significantly reduce the risk of getting ovarian cysts.

5. If possible, a periodic detoxification therapy (detox therapy) to eliminate all the toxins from your body can lead to excellent results.

6. It is important to get yourself checked for ovarian cysts as frequently as possible. Talk with your doctor about the right frequency of these checks and follow his instructions diligently. This is all the more significant if you have a family member who has suffered from ovarian cysts because genetic factors are one of the major causes of ovarian cysts in women. Thus, for example, if your mother or aunts have suffered from ovarian cysts, you should exercise extra caution and initiate a routine of getting yourself checked on a regular basis. Regular checks may not prevent you from getting a case of ovarian cysts, but they can certainly aid in early detection and thus, lead to faster recovery.

In the final analysis, there should be a constant and sincere effort to maintain a healthy lifestyle and create a healthy balance. This is, quite simply, the best ovarian cysts prevention you can practice. A great way to get started is to get in touch with your dietician and plan out a good diet, along with a fitness regime with your fitness trainer.

A healthy lifestyle largely removes the need for medication and in this way, you are saved from possible side effects that these medicines might have. Following a regime that adheres to the natural way of maintaining a well-balanced lifestyle always makes better sense. After all, this is what constitutes the core essence of the holistic approach.

Dermoid Ovarian Cyst Is A Warning Sign

Though benign in nature, this bizarre form of ovarian cyst may become dangerous, if left untreated for long. Affecting mostly young women, this condition can create anxiety among them who fear for their fertility because of the peculiar nature of the cyst that contains, among others, sundry fluids, decapitated human skin, hair follicles and even teeth.

The surrounding myths and misconceptions can further lead to depression and trauma in immature minds. This is also the reason why there is a delay in proper treatment, which can further lead to many more complications. Hence, it is essential that one should get familiarized about dermoid ovarian cyst in order to deal with this situation better.

Understanding dermoid ovarian cyst

Clinically termed as mature teratomas, dermoid ovarian cysts are almost revolting to look at, as some of the cysts often resemble minute incomplete unusual human form complete with sweat glands, thyroid tissue, etc. Each dermoid cyst may look diverse, owning to differences in the make up of this cyst. Perhaps it is the knowledge of having this human – like cyst growing in the body that makes women more edgy than thinking about its possible risk factors.

Dermoid cyst is however non cancerous and is usually harmless. Dermoid ovarian cyst may remain in the ovary for prolonged periods of time, as sometimes there are no symptoms for the same. They may come to light during routine medical exam. Sometimes, irregular menstruation can also signal possible case of dermoid ovarian cysts. Many women prefer not to treat dermoid ovarian cyst immediately on account of pure emotional grounds. Nevertheless, they should be monitored closely, as they can rupture and even twist upon themselves, leading to many complications. It is therefore essential to seek treatment, before things get out of hand.

Dermoid ovarian cysts do not affect the fertility of the women, and hence, are considered to be less malicious, as compared to the other types of conditions. Despite this, if one is planning on starting a family, it is essential that one should get the condition treated irrespective of whether it hurts emotional feelings.

Risk factors involving dermoid ovarian cysts

The risks attached to dermoid ovarian cyst depend somewhat to the type and nature of the cyst. The size of the dermoid ovarian cyst also plays a major role in determining the risks involved.. Larger dermoid cysts are more hazardous, as the possible chances of rupture are more prominent in larger dermoid cysts. Dermoid ovarian cysts are considered to be tricky as they may cause the ovary to twist, thereby affecting the blood supply. Though many dermoid ovarian cysts are non cancerous and benign, a few percentages of the cases may also be affected with cancerous cells. This is however a rare possibility and is found only in extreme cases. Dermoid ovarian cysts can be however very painful, even if they are not fatal. Therefore, one requires appropriate form of treatment to not only cure the pain and agony, but also to get rid of them.

Treatment of dermoid ovarian cyst

Dermoid ovarian cysts mostly go unnoticed till they create complications that include irregular menstruation, moderate to severe pain and other problems. Since conventional treatment can neither cure the condition nor provide any relief to the symptoms, surgery seems to be only option left to the patient. But invasive surgery too may not guarantee lifelong cure, as recurrence often brings the same patient to the surgical table once again for a repeat surgery.

The only dependable method of getting rid of dermoid ovarian cysts is in the holistic approach. Apart from eliminating the plausible hazards that always accompany invasive surgery, holistic approach is also far more beneficial as it is a safe and natural method sans any side effects that nips the cysts in the bud, eliminates the root causes of dermoid ovarian cysts thus ensuring total and permanent relief. The holistic approach also allows the patient to keep in control and looks into the emotional wellbeing of the person too.

Holistic remedies work so much better because here the approach is to treat the body as a whole and identify all the contributing factors and then treat them. Conventional remedies on the other hand treat just the symptoms and fail to delve deeper into the subject.

Ovarian Cyst Medications Do Not Work In The Long Run

Most ovarian cysts are asymptomatic, disappear without medication and cause no harm. Medications for ovarian cysts, whenever prescribed, alleviate pain and pressure in the pelvic region and prevent the forming of more cysts by stopping the process of ovulation if it is a chronic problem. The best way to stop ovulation is to take birth control pills.

Initial medications for ovarian cysts

Since most ovarian cysts disappear within a couple of menstrual cycles, the medical practitioner might not prescribe any medication and keep the patient under observation to see if the ovarian cyst is getting bigger or disappearing on its own. An examination of the pelvis might be recommended after a few months to record any variations in size.

After a few menstrual cycles if the ovarian cyst still does not improve, the doctor could carry out tests to see whether any other type of growth in the ovary is causing this problem. At such times over the counter medication to relieve pain and the application of heat could reduce some of the annoying symptoms.

Ongoing medications for ovarian cysts

An ovarian cyst which persists through more than two menstrual cycles should be checked out. If an ultrasound shows the there is something amiss or you start exhibiting symptoms of cysts in the ovary, treatment has to start on you through medications or through surgery. Your gynaecologist could suggest that you keep using birth control pills for some time so that more cysts do not get to form.

Surgery as a Medication

If, despite medical treatment, an ovarian cyst which is functional but is causing a good deal of pain, refuses to go away, a surgery (cystectomy) through the use of laparoscopy (causing an incision which is small) could have to be done to remove it. However if an ultrasound brings out something unusual or the gynaecologist feels that there could be a risk of ovarian cancer, a surgery by way of a bigger incision in the abdomen through laparotomy may require to be carried out.

Surgery could also be needed to confirm the presence of ovarian cysts. And if ovarian cancer is suspected, surgery will also be required for gauging the state of ovarian growths. You must realise however that surgery does not provide a permanent solution in the matter of ovarian cysts. It can only work if it is used to remove the ovaries altogether.

What would require surgery are situations where the cyst or the ovary have been ruptured or twisted (torsion), where there is severe pain or bleeding, where the cyst is more than 3 inches or is pressing on some of the other abdominal organs, the cyst not going away although two or three months have elapsed since its detection and where these months have covered a couple of menstrual periods and finally, where the ultrasound has discovered something suspicious.

But although the application of surgery could prove effective for the treatment of ovarian cysts, some studies have also shown that it could lead to complications as well. These complications could include problems of access, of operative procedures and physiological complications involving pneumoperitoneum.

Surgery Choices

Whether the incision is small, such as in Laparoscopy or large, such as in Laparotomy, a cut will have to be made on the area of your stomach. Laparoscopy could be used for confirming the presence of ovarian cysts in women of child bearing age. And, at the time of the Laparoscopy, large, painful ovarian cysts could easily be removed, even though they might not be cancerous, without taking out the ovary.

Laparotomy, on the other hand, might have to be used if the cysts are too large to manage through Laparoscopy. Laparotomy would also have to be used if the woman has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer or some problems relating to the abdomen or the pelvic organs occur. If indeed cancer has been detected, the larger incision allows the surgeon to observe the affected area closely and, where necessary, remove the affected portion of the abdomen.

Factors to be thought of

A major consideration in the treatment of ovarian cysts is whether the woman concerned is menopausal or not, because the risk of cancer in the ovaries increase significantly in such women. So it is necessary to be extra careful when checking the ovarian growths of women past this stage.

In fact, many doctors would immediately suggest that the ovaries be removed i.e. oophorectomy if they find that cysts have developed on any ovary of a menopausal woman. However, the current trend of thought in medicine is not to perform surgery on women past menopause if the cysts are small and simple. Among cysts which are dangerous are the Unilocular cysts which are housed in compartments and have thin walls. These could be cancerous after menopause.

Holistic approach

The holistic approach is simple and causes the least amount of pain amongst the various forms of medication used to cure ovarian cysts and all sufferers would be better served if they followed this approach from the initial stages of discovery of these cysts. What the holistic approach believes in is “Prevention is better than cure”. What this means is that the holistic approach lays stress on the approach which attempts to root out the problem of ovarian cysts at the very nascent stages. This is done by stressing on a person`s physical fitness and an increase in his optimism. The holistic approach has given a new meaning to ovarian cysts medication.

My name is Mary Parker and over the past 11 years, through a long process of trial, error and experimentation, I have developed a sure-fire, 100% guaranteed, clinically researched system that is backed by 40,000+ hours of nutritional expertise for eliminating ovarian cysts for good. I guarantee it and I’ve got the results to prove it!

What Makes This Breakthrough System So

Unique is That it Gives You The Power To…

Cure Ovarian Cysts permanently. It’s a fact – 95% of the women who use conventional treatments get rid of their ovarian cysts temporarily and sometimes they end up worse than when they started. Now you can learn how to be in the successful 5% group that keeps it off forever.

Cure Ovarian Cysts holistically. It’s a fact- curing ovarian cysts can never be achieved by tackling one of the many factors responsible for ovarian cysts . If you’ve ever tried to cure your ovarian cysts using a one-dimensional treatment like birth control pills, progesterone creams or even detox diets and failed it’s probably because you have tackled only one aspect of the disease. The tiny handful ovarian cyst sufferers who have learned how to treat their ovarian cysts from within and without ever using drugs or over the counters are the only women in the world who keep their system free of ovarian cysts and PCOS permanently. Now you can learn these ovarian cysts cure secrets from a nutritionist and a former sufferer who knows from real-world experience exactly how it’s done.

There are thousands of ovarian cysts cure products, healing programs and dozens of people claiming to be experts. However, very few of these so-called “PCOS experts” practice what they preach or have the credentials to back up their claims. Since you’re probably wondering how this program is different, here’s the whole story:
